What am I NOT allowed to bring into the castle?

Help us keep the festival safe:
No entry with bottles, cans, spray cans, umbrellas, sharp or pointy costume parts, and selfie sticks, as well as any kind of bags and backpacks!

You are a part of our event, so things can fall or clothing can get dirty. Please understand that we cannot be held liable for dropped phones, dirty or damaged clothing, as well as property damage and personal injury.

Can I get in faster with advance tickets?

No. For this you need VIP or Fastlane tickets.
The wait at the entrance rarely exceeds 20 minutes during rush hour.
If you are unlucky enough to arrive in the middle of several crowded buses, your passage may be delayed. Since the arrival of our guests can not be controlled, we ask for their understanding.

What is included in the price?

Halloween at Frankenstein Castle is an open-air event that takes place in the castle ruins. The admission price includes:
All shows and attractions that take place in the castle, as well as parking and bus transportation to and from the parking lots.
Food and drinks are not included in the admission price. In the castle courtyard, there are various food and drink stands in the party tents where you can get affordable and abundant refreshments. There you can get a cheap and plentiful supply.

The VIP lounge and family VIP lounge are the same open-air event. In addition to the services mentioned above, the admission price includes access to the restaurant’s rooms and the cold/hot buffet with a welcome drink.

How do I get to Frankenstein Castle?

During Halloween, it is not possible to drive your own car to the castle. You can conveniently use the P+R (Park and Ride) in Pfungstadt, Mainstraße or Retford Straße.

There are so many cars parked at the castle. Can I drive my car up there?
No, the vehicles belong to the people who organize and design the Halloween festival: 99 fright creatures on the grounds, … performers on stage, 5x props/wardrobe, makeup, technicians, security, parking attendants and barrier service, kitchen personnel, general service, outdoor catering, as well as cleaning service. § 1 Definitions

§4 Restaurants

(1) Children and adolescents under 16 years of age may only be permitted to stay in restaurants if a person with custody or an educational guardian accompanies them
or if they consume a meal or a drink between 5 am and 11 pm.

However, we would like to point out that the evening program is not suitable for children under 16 years of age. Therefore, children under 16 years of age have no access to the Monster area.

For younger guests, we recommend the family days on Sundays.

Do I have to dress up?
There is no dress code, but many of our visitors enjoy dressing up. However, we would like to point out that costume pieces that can cause injuries in a crowd are not allowed to be brought into the castle courtyard for safety reasons.
Does Halloween take place in the rain?

Whether it rains or snows, our monsters are always ready for you! The drinks and snack bars are protected from wind and weather. For safety reasons, the organizer reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the festival in case of severe weather warnings.

In this case of “force majeure”, purchased tickets will not be refunded. However, if a surplus is generated for this reason, it will be paid out proportionally to the ticket holders.

What should I wear?
With 800-year-old cobblestones, rocky castle moats, muddy swamps, and harsh eastern winds, we recommend sturdy footwear and weatherproof clothing depending on the weather.
Can I bring my dog?

No. Dogs and other animals are not allowed into the castle for the festival.

Is photography allowed in the castle?

Yes, you may bring your camera. However, we do not assume liability for dropped cameras or phones.

How long is the castle open?

The last bus departs on all evening performances at 01:00 a.m. to the parking lots.

On Saturday, November 4th, 2023, the last bus departs at 01:00 a.m.

After that, the castle gate will be locked.
